1 - RICHARDSON: NAPOLEONIC WAR SERVICE c.1815-1818 See also D8 B/F 63-66 Draft memorial from Lieutenant G S Richardson, 4th Foot, to the Prince Regent, giving details of his service from his enlistment in the regiment in Jersey (1807), through the Peninsular War, wrecked on passage to Gibraltar and taken prisoner, service in America 1814, wounded by a shell at Waterloo, asking for promotion to captain - [c1815]

2 - Letter from the War Office to Lieut. Richardson granting him a years pay as captain in consequence of the severity of wounds received in action at Waterloo, when commanding a company - 29 Dec 1815

3 - Letter from Greenwood and Co to Lieut. Richardson, with a copy letter from the Board of General Officers stating that his claim for loss of baggage at Waterloo will be considered as soon as a properly detailed explanation of the circumstances is received. 9 Jul - 1816

7-8 - Letters from Greenwood and Co enclosing a power of attorney, enabling them to receive the ,21 10s [in D8 B/F 6 above] on his behalf, and the pension [in D8 B/F 4 above] Dec - 1816

9 - Copy letter from the Waterloo Subscription stating that the medical board have made a final report upon Lieut. Richardson and there can be no further distribution of money to him. 3 Mar - 1817

10 - Letter from Greenwood and Co - he has been credited with ,34 13s 9d from the Waterloo Prize Money. 15 Aug - 1817

11 - Letter from the War Office - the commander-in-chief has received his memorial and his name has been noted for favourable consideration but nothing can be done at present. 5 Jan - 1818

12 - Letter from John Todd - he has purchased three sixteenths of lottery shares as requested by Richardson. 30 Apr - 1818

13 - Letter from the War Office re the removal of objection to the payment of his pension for 1817, 30 Apr - 1818

14 - Letter from Frederick Feilde, Lieutenant in 88th Foot., gives thanks for money received which will be repaid soon, has hopes of getting on to full pay and has become very religious. 3 Aug - 1818
