1 - Copy letter from the trustees of an estate left for the encouragement of a schoolmaster at Chapel-en-le-Frith to (?) - thank the recipient for granting a licence to Mr Job Brocks to teach in the school - there are nearly 40 pupils at present - the use of the schoolhouse is being denied him by the curate, Mr Byron, who is trying to get the licence revoked - Mr Byron has prevented a lease of the schoolhouse being obtained from the owner of the land - request that the licence remain in force and ask for aid in obtaining possession of the schoolhouse. - 18th cent
