1 - Marriage settlement on the marriage of John Ray to Elizabeth Sutton Inman between John Inman of Chesterfield, gent., Elizabeth Sutton of Heanor Hall, widow, John Ray of Nottingham, hosier, Elizabeth Sutton Inman of Heanor (daughter of John Inman and niece of Elizabeth Sutton) and Rev John Radford of Aldercar Park, clerk, and John Radford of Smalley, esquire by which John Ray, Elizabeth Sutton Inman and John Inman have agreed to enter into a covenant with the two trustees (Smith and Radford) for the payment to them of £2000 within 12 months of the decease of John Inman and Hannah his wife upon several trusts: to pay the interest on the £2000 during the life of Elizabeth Sutton Inman as she shall direct and in default of such appointment to the separate use of Elizabeth Sutton Inman: after the decease of Elizabeth Sutton Inman to the use of such person(s) as she shall direct; further, John Inman agrees to pay to Elizabeth Sutton Inman an annuity of £25 for own separate use; also within 12 months of the decease of Elizabeth Sutton, her executors and administrators to pay to the trustees £2000 (if Elizabeth Sutton Inman dead) or £3000 (if Elizabeth Sutton inman alive) to be invested in securities, to the same uses as the £2000 first mentioned; finally, Elizabeth Sutton to pay an annuity of £50 to John Ray during the life of Elizabeth Sutton Inman. 29 April - 1810

3-4 - Lease for possession, release and assignment by Elizabeth Sutton of Heanor Hall, widow, and John Ray late of West Bridgford now of Lenton Abbey, esquire, to Bryan Thomas Balguy of Derby, gen., of the capital and other messuages, dwellinghouses, and real estate of her the said Elizabeth Sutton in the counties of Derby and Leicester or elsewhere: to the use of Elizabeth Sutton for life, then to the use of Balguy on trust to pay the funeral and testamentary expenses of Elizabeth Sutton, then during the life of Elizabeth Sutton Ray to pay the rents issues and profits of the premises to Elizabeth Sutton Ray for her own use and benefit, and if John Ray survives his wife, to pay the rents and profits to John Ray; after the death of Elizabeth Sutton Ray and John Ray, the rents and profits to be paid to their children in whatever shares and proportions as John Ray and Elizabeth Sutton Ray shall appoint. 6 - Appointment by John Ray and Elizabeth Sutton Ray in favour of their children, under the power limited to them in D255 M/F 4 namely that after the decease of the survivor, all the hereditaments in the Schedule (the Heanor Hall Estate, 104a 3r 17p) shall be charged with the payment to George Henry Ray, their eldest son, of £5000, to be raised by sale or mortgage, with one third part of the money to be held in trust for G.H. Ray, Jane Elizabeth Ray and Sophia Frances Ray (their three children), with the proviso that this appointment can be revoked by any deed or writing during the lifetime of John and Elizabeth Sutton Ray. 7 - Deed for more effectually securing the payment of the sums of £1588, £1600, £812 and £1000 and the interest thereof, between John Ray of Heanor Hall, esquire, Elizabeth Sutton Ray his wife, Rev George Henry Ray, Jane Elizabeth Ray and Sophia Frances Ray (their children) and James Sutton of Shardlow esquire, that all the hereditements comprised in the mortgages by Elizabeth Sutton dated 12 April 1815, 8 March 1816 and 1 April 1822 (the Heanor Hall Estates) shall be vested in James Sutton for the residue of the terms therein, with assignment dated 30 April 1855 by James Sutton to John Ray of the principal sums for the benefit of John Ray, 8 April - 1850
8 - Marriage settlement on the marriage of Rev G H Ray to Alicia Elizabeth J Coghill, between John Ray and Elizabeth Sutton Ray of Heanor Hall, Rev G H Ray of Kirklington, Yorks, clerk, Sir Josiah Coghill Coghill bart, a vice-admiral in Her Majesty's fleet, Alicia Elizabeth Judith Coghill, one of his daughters, and Rev Henry Western Plumptre of Eastwood, Notts, clerk and Mark Huish of Harlesden House Middlesex, esquire, (trustees), by which John Ray has assigned to the trustees the sum of £5000 and interest to the use of G. H. Ray, and also Sir J.C. Coghill has assigned to the trustees one eighth share in several trust estates and premises subject to the trusts in an indenture of 26 April 1819 in trust for A.E.J. 11 - Marriage settlement on the marriage of John Huish to Jane Elizabeth Ray between John Huish of Littleover esquire, John Ray of Heanor Hall esquire, Jane Elizabeth Ray of Heanor Hall spinster, and Rev George Henry Ray of Spennithorne, Yorks, clerk, Rev Henry Western Plumptre of Eastwood, Notts, clerk, Mark Huish of Harlesden House, Middlesex, esquire, (trustees), reciting the will of Margaret Smith late of the City of Bath, 3 April 1850, by which the residue of her personal estate is bequeathed to Mark, John and Marcus Huish upon trust to convert the real and personal estate to money and that M, J and M Huish should stand possessed of the estates and securities; a portion of the residue of Margaret Smith's estate remains invested in an estate at Bresly, Lincolnshire, held by M, J. and M Huish under the terms of the will, by which John Huish has assigned to the trustees an undivided fifth part of an estate at Bresly, Lincolnshire, to which he is entitled under the will of Margaret Smith, upon trust for John Huish until the marriage: if the marriage is solemnised John Ray agrees to pay £4000 to the trustees for effectually securing which John Ray has assigned to the trustees, the sum of £4000 being part of £5000 in an indenture of 30 April 1855 assigned and declared to be kept on foot for John Ray. 25 April Deed poll added 2 April 1890 by which Mrs Jane Elizabeth Huish releases her life estate in the Huish Trust Fund. - 1856
12 - Appointment by John and Elizabeth Sutton Ray to George Henry Ray of all the property (the Heanor Hall Estate, 104a 3r 17p) in Mrs Sutton's mortgages of 1815, 1816 and 1822, subject to the terms of 2000 years and to the payment of the principal sum of £4000: further all monies, stocks, funds, securities, furniture and effects also to become the absolute property of George Henry Ray after the death of the survivor of John and Elizabeth Sutton Ray, 18 April - 1857
