1 - Copy of common recovery by which John Kniveton esq and Ralph Wright esq petitioned against William Kniveton esq to Mercaston concerning the manors of Mercaston and Mugginton and 10 messuages, 10 tofts, 2 mills, 2 dovehouses, 20 gardens and lands in Mercaston, Mugginton, Kniveton, Offcote, Underwood, Fenton, Ashbourne and Compton, 23 Jun - 1591

4-5 - Lease and release by Sir Andrew Kniveton of Bradley to Nathaniel Hallowes of Derby esq and his son Samuel of Christ's College Cambridge, for £2,900, of the manor of Mugginton, 21 and 22 Oct - 1654

6-7 - Agreement (and copy) between Nathaniel Hallowes of Derby and Sir Andrew Kniveton of Bradley. Recites that Sir Andrew having sold the manor of Mugginton to Hallowes, various persons have claimed large sums against Sir Andrew, including Nathaniel Hallowes who has obtained a judgment for £6,000 and costs. Hallowes agrees that if the manor is protected against claims and if Sir Andrew pays all costs etc of the lawsuit within a year, no further claim will be made against him, otherwise his manors of Bradley, Kniveton and Underwood will be charged with the judgment, 23 Oct - 1654

8 - Assignment of lease by the trustees of Sir Andrew Knyveton of Bradley to Thomas Charnell of Snareston, (Leicestershire) gent, trustee for Nathaniel Hallowes of Derby gent and his son and heir Samuel Hallowes of Christ's College, Cambridge gent, of manor of Mugginton and lands etc belonging and half the impropriate Rectory of Mugginton, which had, with other premises been leased to his trustees by Sir Andrew on 4 Dec 24 Charles I [1647] with reference to payment of his debts, 23 Oct - 1654
