3 - Draft instructions for Mr Hallowes' will making provision for children mentioned in earlier will with addition of son John, 17 Jan 1738/9 - [1739]

4 - Copy of Thomas Hallowes' will: his eldest son Brabazon is to have the property in Glapwell, Bolsover, Scarcliffe, Ault Hucknall and Dethick, other than what is reserved by Thomas's marriage settlement. The property is charged with the payments of £600 apiece to Thomas's children Juliana, Chaworth, Chambre, Catherine, Frances and John at 21 or on marriage and in the meantime they are to be maintained from the interest on these sums. Since it has proved expensive to apprentice his son William in London, he is to have only £450 on the completion of his apprenticeship. All Thomas's children are to have £400 additionally after wife Lady Catherine's death. Specific bequeaths of personal items to Lady Catherine and Brabazon, residue to be divided equally between the children. 24 Feb 1739/40 - [1740]

Items are listed room by room, with lists of china, glass and plate, outdoor goods (livestock, stacks) farm equipment, goods at Muston (principally farm equipment and livestock); rents due from Mugginton, `Dethwick' Glapwell and Thornsett (1739-1740); totals of the inventory, accounts of executors including for goods sold. - 1740-1746

6 - Quitclaim from Chambre Hallowes, Catherine Cromwell widow, William Hallowes and Samuel Abson and Frances his wife to Chaworth Hallowes and James Gibson and Juliana his wife (Chaworth and Juliana as executors of the will of their father Thomas Hallowes of Glapwell esq) for various sums paid them as their share of their father's personal estate, 29 Sep Endorsed with receipt and discharge by John Hallowes now of age for his share as above, 15 Nov 1751 - 1748
