1 - Abstract of deeds and writings relating to certain freehold messuages, closes of land etc. at Tideswell, the property of and in the possession of Robert Longden, 1702-1766 - 1813
2 - Copy probate of John Etches of Sheffield, silversmith - to his friends John Briddon of Middleton by Youlgreave, farmer and William Colley the younger of Sheffield, scissor manufacturer, all his real and personal estate of every kind, upon trusts, to sell and dispose of such parts as are saleable for the best price possible, the money to be placed at interest and out of the income therefrom to pay his wife Mary Etches £75, to use the remainder of the income for the maintenance and education of his children until the youngest is 21 then to divide the trust money equally between his children, except that which produces his wife's annuity which is to be divided at her death - John Briddon and William Colley the younger to be joint executors. (Will dated 10 Nov 1821) Proved at York, 31 Aug - 1822
3 - Copy will of Robert Longden of Ridge Hall, Parish of Chapel en le Frith, yeoman - to his wife, Martha Longden an annuity of £20, to be paid from his real estate, for her life and after her death to merge in the residue of his estate - wishes his wife to live with her grandson Peter Higginbotham, son of John Higginbotham, at Ridge Hall, but if she does not wish to do so, she is to have power to take 2 complete beds and other furniture necessary to furnish a house in a reasonable manner, and to have one of the houses at Tideswell for life - to Robert Higginbotham, son of John Higginbotham of Marsh Hall, £100 at 21 - to George Higginbotham, son of the said John, £100 at 21 - to his nephew Robert Ball of Manchester, £100 - to Thomas Longden of Great Hucklow, cordwainer, £10 - all his real and personal estate whatsoever, subject to the above legacies, to Peter Higginbotham - John Higginbotham of Marsh Hall and John Bread of Blaze to be his executors, with power to raise money from his real estate to pay debts and legacies. 2 May - 1827
4 - Copy probate of Andrew Brittlebank of Winster, gent., - his debts and funeral expenses to be paid out to his personal estate - all his real and person estate whatsoever to his wife Catharina Margaretha Brittlebank - all his estates vested in him as mortgagee or trustee, to his said wife, subject to the trusts and equities affecting the same - his wife to be sole executrix. (Will dated 3 Oct 1860). Proved in the Principal Probate Registry, 6 Jul - 1864
