1 - Lease for possession and release: Ann Downes of Burton on Trent, spinser, to Robert Shaw of Sawley, innholder and Edward Thompson of Sawley, gent., in considerayion of £99, of all that close of parcel of ground commonly called or known as pinfold close or croft 1 acre by estimation, 1st/2nd April - 1778
2 - Lease for possession and release by John Davys of Rempstone gent., to Robert Shaw of Sawley, Waterman, and Edward Thompson of Sawley, butcher, in consideraton of £100, of a cottage, tenement and dweling house, formerly one tenement but now divided into two in a street in Sawley called Fore Street and opposite the church: 1st/2nd September - 1779
3 - Mortgage by release by Robert Shaw of Sawley, innholder, and Edward Thompson of Sawley, butcher, to William Briggs of Alvaston, yeoman, for £400, of all that messuage, dewlling house of tenement nearly opposite the church in Sawley in a street called Fore Street now used or occupied by the same Robert Shaw as an inn or public house known by the sign of the White Lyon which said messuage had been lately erected and built by the said Robert Shaw on the site of two cottages purchased of John Davys, 3 April - 1788
