2 - Settlement by (lease, missing, and) release to uses made between 1. William Brownhill of Aston yeoman 2. Thomas Brownhill of Wollaton, county Nottingham, wheelwright, youngest son of William 3. Richard Young of Loughborough, county Leicester, fellmonger and Thomas Heywood of Weston farmer and 4. Abraham Burton and George Moorely both of Aston farmers, by which for £30 paid by Thomas to William Brownhill, William conveyed to Young and Heywood a messuage, outbuildings, toft or homestead, yards, gardens etc containing about one acre and Moor Close, 3 acres 11p, all in William's occupation and in Aston, and tithes of premises, in trust for William and wife Mary for their lives, then to Burton and Moorely for 300 years, then to Young and Heywood for the life of Thomas Brownhill to support contingent uses, then to Mary, Thomas's wife, then their children, with final remainder to William Brownhill, his heirs and assigns for ever, and as to the 300- year term, that Burton and Moorely shall after the deaths of William and Mary Brownhill raise £55 (£30 for Thomas Brownhill, £10 for Catherine Astle great granddaughter of Wiliam Brownhill and £5 each for William, Mary and Sarah Astle, 3 of William's greatgrandchildren); Thomas Brownhill covenanted to pay William and Mary for their lives and the longest liver of them £5 annually Dated 31 August - 1793

Robert Brownhill of Aston yeoman and Joseph his son and heir and 3. William Cowlishaw of Aston yeoman and John Roberts of Melbourne yeoman, by which in consideration of marriage between Anne Hill and Joseph Brownhill and for £40 paid by Robert Brownhill to Robert Hill, half yardland in the fields of Aston (described in great detail, naming fields, neighbours, acreages) was conveyed by Robert Hill to Cowlishaw and Roberts to the successive uses of Robert Hill and heirs until the marriage, Robert Hill for life, Joseph Botham and Anne his wife for their lives, their heirs, Robert Erpe son of Thomas Erpe of Melbourne yeoman and his heirs and assigns for ever, and Hill allowed Joseph to dwell with him after the marriage and agreed that the farm he now enjoys under Robert Wilmot esquire shall be held and managed jointly between them and the goods, chattels, implements of husbandry, corn, grain now growing on the premises were declared to be as well the goods of Joseph Botham as of Robert Hill to be used jointly and each shall be able to bequeath his half of the goods, chattels etc Copy examined 15 June - 1804

Samuel Miles of Leicester gentleman, for releasing the premises from Catherine's dower and limiting them to the use of Thomas Prior, the premises being messuage with outbuildings, yards, gardens etc in Aston formerly in the occupation of John Prior the grandfather and John Prior the father of Thomas, but now of Mary Botham widow, 2 closes of ancient enclosed land adjoining the messuage and called the Homestead containing 4 acres 1r and the Clay Pitts 2 acres 3p; the Foss Close 5 acres 1r 21p which was awarded at the inclosure of open fields at Aston in 1763 to John Prior the grandfather as parcel of land in Alderslade field containing 5 acres 1r 5p; 5 closes with barn and stable on them called Barn Close, Great Sage Leys, Little Sage Leys, Riband Hole Close and Hunger Hill Close together 46 acres 3r 12p, awarded at the inclosure (see above) to John Prior the grandfather as a piece of land in Cross Field containing 45 acres 1r 15p (further detail of awarded lands) all in township of Aston and in tenure of Mary Botham widow and William Bancroft Dated 28 January - 1815
