William Allestrye of Derby esquire, William Turner of Derby gentleman, Dorothy one of the daughters of Joseph Parker late of Derby gentleman deceased by which for the marriage between Henry Houlden and Dorothy Parker, for £600 paid by Dorothy's mother Margaret for her marriage portion and in full satisfaction of what was left her in her father's will, and to settle a jointure upon her, capital messuage called Weston Hall reputed to be the manor house, closes called the Hall Close or Closes, Poole Close, the Parke and Mistris Eyres Hallowe, in Weston, messuage, farm or tenement in Weston in the possession of Thomas Taberer and lands belonging to the farm, common of pasture for cattle upon the premises to be enjoyed in moors, wastes and commonable places of the manor of Weston, were conveyed to Allestrye and Turner in trust as to Weston Hall and the named closes for Henry and Dorothy for their lives, in lieu of dower, with successive remainders to heirs male, their daughters, the heirs male of Henry, Robert Houlden, his heirs and assigns; as to Taberer's messuage etc to the use of Henry Houlden and the heirs male of Henry and Dorothy, with successive remainders to their daughters, Henry's male heirs, Robert Houlden, his heirs and assigns. With proviso that if Henry should die without male issue by Dorothy or if such sons should die under the age of 21, and within 2 years of sons' deaths, the other sons of Henry, or Robert Houlden, pay Allestrye and Turner £1,000 for Henry and Dorothy's daughters, then the estate limited to the daughters is void. 4 - Counterpart of supplementary marriage settlement by assignment by 1. Robert Houlden of Aston gentleman to 2. Margaret Parker of Derby widow and Gilbert Ward of Derby mercer, for marriage between Henry son and heir apparent of Robert Houlden and Dorothy daughter of Margaret Parker and for Dorothy's marriage portion, of capital messuage called Weston Hall, closes in Weston called the Hall Close or Closes, Poole Close, the Parke and Mistris Eyres Hallow, for the remainder of a term for 40 years, demised by Anthony Roper esquire deceased on 26 May 13 Charles [1637] (see D 779B/T 53) to Thomas and Henry Stich, a term now vested in Robert Houlden, in trust to permit Henry Houlden to enjoy the profits, but on his death within the term, Dorothy is to receive the profits for life if the term continues so long; if she dies within the term, to permit the person to whom the premises revert at the expiration of the term to take the profits.
