1 - Lease for 13 years by Geoffrey Gresley to Inglis, his servant of 2 bovates of land in Morton, which John's son Stein held - [1189-1199]
2 - Gift by Geoffrey of Gresley son and heir of Lord William Gresley to Richard of Gratwich for homage and service of one bovate of land in Morton and one acre in Wodecroft and five strips of land lying between the lands of William son of Millicent and which Robert Godwin formerly held. With a whole messuage except a corner which William son of Millicent once held - [1216-1272]
3 - Gift by Lord Geoffrey Gresley, knight, to John Ridel of Morton, of a half virgate of land in part in township of Morton, with an adjacent meadow which land John above said formerly held in the same. And a messuage with an adjacent toft and croft, which Inglis of Morton once held. And a messuage with a toft and croft which Roger over le Grene once held in Morton. Moreover the grantor gives to the same John and his heirs one messuage with 12 acres of arable land and 3 acres of adjacent meadow which William Ridel, father of the said John once held in Morton. And one acre of meadow in Colmor; and one piece of arable land in a meadow belonging which is called le Hasuli, which said John once held; and headland of arable land at French Hills extending from the King's way as far as the head of the croft of John Wymer, lying between the lands of Lord Geoffrey Gresley and of the said John Ridel. And one piece of meadow called le Reffes lying between Hernanbregge and the meadow of Richard Wymer - [1272-1307]
4 - Agreement between Richard , lord of Blithfield, plaintiff, and Sir Geoffrey Gresley, defendant over 2 virgates of land in Morton, which Richard claims against Geoffrey by [writ] of entry in the court of the lord king in the presence of Lord John of Berwick and his associates, Itinerant Justices in the county of Stafford. The agreement between them, both swear on holy words [the Bible] for the arbitration and consideration of the lord John Kave, Richard Spigurnel, Henry of Colton, Walter of Stretton, the arbiters chosen, that they will concede faithfully without fraud, trick or quibbling to stand by [the judgment] in all points of dispute between them. If any is absent from any article in any way either Richard or Geoffrey, he shall pay to the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer of the Lord King £20 - [1292-1293]
