1 - Marriage settlement of Thomas Clarke of Cheapside, London gentleman, and Susannah, daughter of Samuel Bowyer of the Inner Temple, dec'd - 1794
2 - Grant by Andrew Cowell of Portman St. (Middlesex) and Maria Justina his wife (late Maria Justina Head, widow) to Catherine Cooper of Doveridge Hall (Staffordshire), spinster, reciting the marriage settlement of Francis Head of St Andrew Hall, Buckenham, (Norfolk), and Maria Justina his wife, whereby certain estates in Old Buckenham, New Buckenham and Carleton Rode (Norfolk) were charged with £500 a year as jointure of Maria in consideration of £700 paid to Cowell, of an annuity of £100 for the life of Maria, and of£200 a year, parcel of the above £500 with covenant to levy a fine upon the same to the use of Catherine upon trust to receive the same, to retain £100 as the above annuity and hold the remainder in trust for Maria, 16 Mar. Endorsed with an assignment of the above annuity by Catherine Cooper to Timothy Yeats Brown of Manchester Street (Middlesex) in consideration of £700 (9 Sep 1818) - 1807
3 - Declaration of trust by Catherine Cooper to Thomas Clarke of Sadlers Hall, London, gentleman, in consideration of £400, that £40, parcel of the above annuity, is to be paid to Clarke, 29 May. Endorsed with release by Clarke to Cooper, in consideration of £400, of the above annuity of £40 (7 Apr 1808) - 1807
4 - Warrant of attorney by Andrew Cowell to William Broderick and Thomas Hunt, as collateral security for the above annuity. 16 Mar - 1807
5 - Life assurance policy for £700 taken out by Catherine Cooper upon the life of Maria Justina Cowell, with undertaking that Maria is not above44 at the time of the policy, 16 Mar - 1807
6 - Assignment of the above policy by Catherine Cooper to Timothy Yeats Brown - 1818
7 - Copy register entry of the burial of Maria Justina Cowell (sic) at Preston (Sussex), on 17 Nov 1821, aged 65, sent by Charles Townshend, curate of Preston, to William Meyrick, 13 Dec - 1821
8 - Letter from W Goodeve to William Meyrick (sic) stating that Mrs. Cowell would have been 66 next birthday and was born at Llanelli (Carmarthenshire) - 1822
9 - Letter from H Bellingham to Messrs. Meyrick and Broderick returning Mrs. Cowell's death certificate and stating his charges in the matter, 15 Mar - 1822
10 - Letter from Meyrick and Broderick to the Society for the Equitable Assurance upon Lives and Survivorships re a mistake in the age of Mrs. Cowell in the above policy (D417 Z/F 5) - 1822
