1 - Lease by the master of the scholars, vicar and wardens of the grammar school of Jesus our Saviour at Tideswell, to Mary Simpson of Colworth (Bedfordshire) for 12 years at 14s 8d a year of the dwelling house and parlour which she now inhabits, as parcel of a messuage called Brays, with a barn, the north part of the orchard, half the yard and fold, Ducker Close, 6 acres in tenure of Henry Sheppard, 3 parcels of meadow at Smale Brooke in tenure of Henry Boulton, 2 parcels of pasture called Kinge's Wood in tenure John and William Kinge, and a dwelling house called Langley Cottage (4 bays) with a croft and yard and barn (2 bays) nearby in tenure of William Ancocke, all at Colworth, Bedfordshire. 27 Mar - 1635
2 - Copy lease and release by John Gisborne the elder, of Derby esq., and Thomas Cradock of Rochester (Kent), doctor in physics (executors of the will of Cockin Sole dec'd) to John Cockin of the will of Cockin Sole dec'd) to John Cockin Sole (son and heir of Cockin Sole) of Bobbing(Kent) esq., whereas Cockin Sole did by his last will (26 Nov 1752) devise to Gisbourne and Cradock all his estate both real and personal, in trust to raise £50 a year for the maintenance of Dorothy his daughter until she shall become 21 and to pay her £4,000 when she is 21, and to convey the said estate to John Cockin Sole when he shall attain the age of 25, with proviso that if he shall marry between 21 and 25 a woman with £6,000, then the estate to be conveyed to him, and whereas he was 21 on 7 Feb last and on 3 Aug last married Catherine, daughter of Thomas Godfrey Lushington, of all the freehold manors, lands, tenements and personal estate of Cockin Sole as devised to Gisbourne and Cradock, charged with the payments of £50 and £4,000 as above. 9/10 Aug - 1754
