7 - Copy probate of Samuel Coupe, late of Pinxton but now of Alfreton, yeoman; to his son John Coupe all his messuage, farm and lands at Pinxton with all rents and arrears of rent, charged with the payment of £600 bequeathed to his daughter Elizabeth, wife of George Topham; to his house keeper, Mary Ann Lovett, if she shall reside with him at the time of his death, £20; to Elizabeth also, a messuage, malt office and lands at Kirkby in Ashfield (Nottinghamshire) for life and then to Harriett Holmes her daughter by a previous marriage; to his daughter Ann and her husband William Watson of Mansfield, a messuage and lands at South Normanton, for their lives and then to be divided among their children as tenants in common; to his friend William Wilson of South Normanton, farmer, all the coal mines, veins, beds and delphs of coal, clay or stone beneath fields at Pinxton called Hall Moor Meadow, Near Hall Moor Meadow and the Allotment on the Range, which minerals were reserved to him under and exchange of lands with D'Ewes Coke, upon trust to sell and pay the proceeds to Elizabeth Topham and Ann Watson who are also to have the residue of his household goods and other personal estate, in equal shares10 Oct 1838 - 1838
8-9 - Copy probate of Charles Clayton of Loscoe, yeoman; all his ready money to his wife Ann Clayton; all his mortgage bonds and other securities to his eldest son, Charles Clayton; to his daughter Ann Fidler, 3s per week for life, so long as she shall remain a widow and unmarried all his messuage in Glasshouse Street, Nottingham, to his daughter Amy, wife to John Woodhouse; all other his messuages and lands in Loscoe and Nottingham, with all his household goods and other personal estate to his wife for life, charged with the maintenance of such of their daughters as shall remain unmarried, and after her decease, as follows:- his dwelling house, garden, orchard and crofts at Loscoe to his unmarried daughters so long as they shall remain single; to his daughters Phoebe, wife of John Taylor, Sarah, wife of Robert Bullock and Eliza, wife of Isaac White, £50 each; to his daughters Kazia, Mary, Elizabeth and Emila, £150 each; his dwelling houses in Chesterfield Street, Nottingham, to his son Benjamin for life and then to Benjamin's children as tenants in common; his meadow land in Nottingham Meadows (tenant Mr Tebbut) to Benjamin for life and then to Benjamin's eldest son, in default to his daughters; his silver cup marked B.C. to Benjamin for life and then to his son William; his parcel of building land or garden on Codnor Common (30p) to Benjamin and his wife Elizabeth for their lives and then to their eldest son; the residue of his real and personal estate to his son Charles Clayton, if Charles shall die without issue, then the estate to be divided between his surviving children 12 Oct - 1842
10 - Copy probate to William Alsop of Brassington,gentleman; to his wife Jane Alsop, such of his household goods and furniture as she may select; the remainder of his personal estate to his only son, William Alsop; to his only daughter, Mary, his dwelling house at Brassington, called Great House (tenant Henry Mansfield), a dwelling house in the tenure of John Alsop, two cottages(tenants John Briddon and John Lomas) and closes called the Bents and Chapmans Low, the Yard with buildings thereon, 2 crofts behind the said cottages called Dale Ends with closes called the Sides, charged with the yearly payment of £20 to his wife; to his son William, a messuage wherein the testator now resides and 3 small crofts adjoining, at Brassington a cottage and butcher's shop called Pinfold House (tenants Henry Greatorex and George Wain) with closes called Two Black Furlongs, Thatch Meadow, Ralph Furlongs and Means, three closes called the Spellers, Over Fields or Ballidon Hills and an allotment on Brassington Moor in 9 fields called Round Lows, all at Brassington, with all other his real estate, charged with the payment of £20 yearly to his wife -10 Oct - 1848
11 - Copy will of Thomas Riley of Ilkeston, grocer; all his personal estate and effects to his wife Nelly Riley; all his estates whatsoever to his friends George Blake Norman of Ilkeston, surgeon, and William Smith of Ilkeston, framework knitter, upon trust to permit Nelly to take the rents and profits for life,and then as follows; a dwelling house in Bath Street, Ilkeston, wherein he now resides, with all outbuilding on the north side of the yard and thegarden and a road leading to the garden from the street, in trust for his daughter Elizabeth Mocker, wife of James Mocker of Denby; 2 messuages with gardens etc in Chapel Street, Ilkeston (tenants Thomas Brown and Elijah Hearnshaw) in trust for his daughter Helen Riley; 2 other messuages in Chapel Street (tenants Samuel Bostock and James Rice) with the use of a water cistern in trust for his daughter Helen Riley; 4other messuages in Chapel Street, (tenantsJoseph Rice, George Rigley, John Nevill and Samuel Gothard) with a garden at the back thereof and the use of a water cistern and well, to the use of Ann Riley, his daughter; 2 messuages in Bath Street, Ilkeston (tenants Joseph Lucas and John Beardsley) with an adjoining plot of land(10 yards x 52 yards) in trust for his daughter Harriett Riley; a messuage and grocer's shop in Bath Street (tenant William Harribon) with a plot of garden at the back and all other his real estate,in trust to sell the same to pay legacies as follows;- £100 to his son William Riley, £100 to his son Thomas Riley and £100 to his daughter Sarah, wife of Joseph Bennett, the remainder to be divided equally between Elizabeth, Helen, Hannah, Ann and Harriett1 May, with codicil, 1 Jul 1856. Codicil devising to his daughter Sarah, 2s 6d per week for the life of his wife and stating that the legacy to William shall not be paid until the estate is released from the liability by which it became bound when he became surety for William to the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Banking Co.;whereas he has lately erected a messuage on part of the estate devised to Harriett, the said messuage to be included in her legacy 1 Jul 1856 - 1856
