1 - Lease book containing abstracts of leases made by the master, schoolmaster, ushers, poor men and poor scholars (1823-1841) and briefer notes of leases probably made by the same persons (1832-1862). Indexed by lessee at beginning. On the first page is a memorandum giving the Corporation rent days and a list of places [probably where the Corporation held land]. Near the back is a list of names and rents, 1859. See also D6406, D3377 - (1823-1862)
2 - Des Voeux Estate - 1901-1926
1 - Volume labelled “Lady Alice des Voeux, Barrow- upon-Trent Estate. Reference 1901”. Contains: table showing occupiers, numbers referring to plan [not present], description of properties, state of cultivation, acreages, notes of various dates up to 1926, for property owned by Lady Des Voeux at Sinfin Moor and Barrow-upon-Trent; table as above but with few notes; table headed 1922 showing owners [? occupiers] acreages, rents and late occupiers, place not specified; table headed “1926. Sir Frederick Des Voeux” giving names some of which are the same as in 1922, but without specifying whether owners or occupiers, acreages, rents and net assessment schedule A, no place specified - 1901-1926
2 - “Reference to an Estate situate at Barrow upon Trent… belonging to Sir Frederick Des Voeux”. Gives occupiers, numbers referring to plan, description of properties, state of cultivation, acreages, miscellaneous notes, and covers Sinfin Moor and Barrow upon Trent. The notes include reference to sales of property, giving lot numbers, to whom sold and sometimes sale price. D2614/E/2/2/1 enclosed in D2614/E/2/2 “Reference” similar to above but the owner is said to be Lady Alice M Des Voeux deceased and giving tenants in 1926 in place of notes. Dated Lady Day 1926.
