John Silvester, victualler of Crich, Samuel Stocks, framework knitter of Crich, his trustee John Walker, gentleman of Crich, and Edgar Hogg alias Kirk, farmer of Gladwin Mark in Ashover, to Nathaniel Wheatcroft, merchant of Cromford, and his trustee, John Andrew, gentleman of Wirksworth. Recites a mortgage by Samuel Stocks to Edgar Hogg to raise £220 from the land at T1 (4 Feb 1823) and a lease and release in which Isaac Bestwick, Moses Stoppard and John Silvester and the creditors of Samuel Stocks receive the property from Samuel Stocks for sale (28-29 Nov 1825). Part of the consideration £300 received from Nathaniel Wheatcroft i.e. £240 15s is paid to Edgar Hogg to satisfy the mortgage debt (including interest). 14-15 Jun - 1826 |
