1 - Sawley Prebendal Manor: Surrender by ThomasWood and his wife Edith, to John Walker, tailor of Breaston, of a messuage and parcel of land, previously occupied by Francis Carrington and then by Edward Winrow, itself part of a larger messuage which was the estate of the late Thomas Lakin and devised to Thomas Wood, in Breaston. Consideration £60 2 Nov - 1814
2 - Sawley Prebendal Manor: Surrender by Thomas Wood and his wife, Elizabeth, to Samuel Bonsall, farmer of Breaston of the ancient messuage and 3 small gardens, in Breaston, divided into 3 separate dwellings occupied by Joseph Poxon, Richard Reeves and John Kirk; with an adjoining old orchard (the property formerly occupied by the late Thomas Lakin) - 23 Dec 1815
3 - Lease and release (/a and /b) by Alexander Harrington Foxcroft, esq of Breaston to Richard Thompson, yeoman, of Draycott in Wilne and his trustee, William Wheatcroft, writing clerk of Derby. Recites: mortgages to George Berry, lace manufacturer of Nottingham of 8/9 Jan 1827 (£1000), 17 Aug 1827 (£200), 7 Apr 1828 (£400), 15 May 1828 (£400); transfer of these mortgages to Gervase Bourne, coal master, late of Bramcote and now Babbington (Nottingham-shire), William Willis Bailey, engineer of Swadlincote and Hugh Bruce Campbell, with a further charge on 13-14 Mar 1829 of £500. The consideration of £1050 7s 9d is to be paid to the creditors of Alexander Harrington Foxcroft. The property concerned is several parcels of land in Breaston occupied in succession by James Snow, the late Benjamin Harrington, Samuel Cooke and now William Clarke: 5 acres 3 roods 5 perches of Walker Field, 3 acres 2 roods 27 perches in Little Walker Field [these were originally Walker Close, 9 acres 2 roods 8 perches and the Nether Field Close (8 acres 9 perches)]. Also annuities to be paid to Elizabeth Woodward (£10), to Charlotte Holme, wife of Revd James Holme (£20), the Minister of Sawley (£5) and annual rent of 5s to Pembroke College, Oxford. 5 - Lease and release (/a and /b) of freehold and copyhold for mortgage with powers of sale by Richard Thompson as at D2148 Z/T3 to Nathaniel Curzon, gent, of Breedon on the Hill, Leicestershire. Recites: lease and release of property in Draycott by Richard Thompson to Thomas Jowett in trust for Richard Thompson (subject to a mortgage of £800 owed to Ann Severn, widow of Elvaston); mortgage as at D2148 Z/T4; conditional surrender (16 Mar 1826) to raise £500, and further charge (13 Mar 1829) to raise £220 of the Breaston property to Nathaniel Curzon. This present mortgage to secure £500. The property: at Draycott, a messuage formerly occupied by John Jowell, the late Antony Gretton, his son Antony Gretton and now by Richard Thompson with "the Homestead" comprising 7 acres. (formerly of Thomas Boswath), except 2 acres 3 roods 23 perches bought by Edward Thompson called Little Bottom Piece, an inclosure plot in Asthill Field (7 acres 3 roods 29 perches) (boundaries given); the property at D2148 Z/T3; copyhold property from Sawley Manor comprising Ten Acre (9 acres 1 rood 36 perches); Willow Spinney (35 perches); Near Pasture Close (3 acres 1 rood 27 perches) and Far Pasture Close (3 acres 3 roods 20 perches) 21-22 Sept - 1829

24 - Sawley Prebendal Manor: Recites admission of Francis Talbot, victualler of Nottingham, on the surrender of John Edmund Hall to a messuage at Breaston occupied by John Fallows, an adjoining messuage occupied by Mary Burton (as at D2148 Z/T2), the property at D2148 Z/T 1 and a messuage adjoining the property at D2148 Z/T 2 erected by John Edmund Hall, Francis Talbot died intestate on 4 Jun. 1850 and his heir Francis Talbot, junior died on 4 Oct 1896. His will (probate 19 Dec 1896) appointed Frank Watson Talbot, George Shelton Talbot and Harry Watson Talbot as trustees for D2148 Z/T 24 sale of the property and their admission is recorded. 29 Sept - 1897
