1 - Settlement by William Elston yeoman of Muston, Leicestershire by which he gave to William Grene and Thomas Clyfton yeomen of Muston, all the messuages cottages and lands of his inheritance in the villages and fields of Muston, Bottesford, Normanton and Radwell, Leicestershire, and all the messuages and lands of his inheritance in Harlaxton, Stainwith, Barrowby and Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, to hold them during Elston's lifetime, for the use of Robert Elston, his son, 26 Jun 15 Elizabeth - 1573

3 - Release by Robert Elston of Muston yeoman to Thomas Grene of Radwell and Richard Nicholls of Muston yeoman, of a messuage in Muston on the south of le Beick, 3 bovates of land, orchard, lands etc, close called le Hey Wong in parish of Sidebrook, (Lincolnshire,) side of the street from the parish church to 2 messuages north of le Beick, close 1½ bovates of land, dovehouse, to hold these lands for the use of the said Robert Elson and Katherine his wife during their lifetimes and those of their lawful heirs, 12 Jul 18 Elizabeth - [1576]

4 - Exemplification of final concord between Robert Elston sen plaintiff and William Lynne and Elizabeth his wife, and Robert Lynne and Joan his wife, defendants, concerning a messuage, a garden, an orchard and about 34 acres of land in Muston, Bottesford, and Normanton, Elston paid £41, Michaelmas 10 James - [1612]

5 - Articles of agreement between Robert Elson the elder of Muston yeoman and Richard Elson his son and heir apparent, that whereas Robert by a feoffment of the same date has granted all his property to Richard, the latter will pay Robert during his life £20 a year in 4 equal parts at specified times, beginning at the feast of the Annunciation next. He will provide his father with adequate food, lodging and clothing, a grey gelding at the sealing of this, and will provide winter and summer feeding for the gelding and 20 ewes for Robert in Muston and Stanwith. Robert senior will further allow pasture for 5 kine to Robert Elson the younger and will allow him to enjoy the great new close in Stenwith during the life of the elder Robert 24 Sep 12 James - [1614]

6 - Lease by Richard Elston senior of Muston, (Leicestershire) gent and Peter, John, Nicholas and Richard Elston his sons to Richard Hickson of Gonerby (Lincolnshire) esq for £500, of lands in Sidebrook or Sidgebrook and Stenwith or Stenwath, in the parish of Barrowby, Lincolnshire and land in Muston, to hold for 15 years from Michaelmas next, 30 Sep - 1637

7-8 - Both parts of lease by Richard Hickson of Lincolnshire, Esq. to Richard Elston the elder of Muston, Leicestershire, gent., of the lands leased to him by Elston (reciting lease by Richard Elston senior of Muston, (Leicestershire) gent and Peter, John, Nicholas and Richard Elston his sons to Richard Hickson of Gonerby (Lincolnshire) esq for £500, of lands in Sidebrook or Sidgebrook and Stenwith or Stenwath, in the parish of Barrowby, Lincolnshire and land in Muston, to hold for 15 years from Michaelmas next, 30 Sep for 14 years 11 months. For the first 7 years, Elston will pay Hickson £100 annually, 1 Oct - 1637

9 - Articles of agreement between Richard Elston of Muston gent and Nathaniel Hallowes of Derby gent for Elston to grant named lands in Muston and in Barrowby, Lincolnshire to Hallowes for a payment of £1,300. On the completion of the transaction, Hallowes will demise the property to Elston for 3 years at a rent of £75 per annum, 29 Jan 1639/40 - [1640]

10 - Bond in £2,000 from Richard Elston as above and his sons Peter, John, Nicholas and Richard to Nathaniel Hallowes alderman of Derby to fulfill conditions of indentures of the same date and also of 2 Apr last which they made with Hallowes, 2 Apr - 1640
