1 - Assignment of Lease for 2200 years of Birkindole par. Ashover (Overend), for £24 by Philip Waterhouse of Overend, Ashover, to William Botham of Overend, tailor of the property adjoining Lime Dole., occupier George Moore and Thorne Dole, occupier William Harrison. 13 April 1655. Recites: (A) Mortgage by way of lease for 200 years, 7 June 1611, for £1123/6/8 of the manor and lordship of Ashover, including the advowson of the parish church, by Sir Thomas Reresby, Kt of York, to Sire Samuel Tryon, Kt and Bt, merchant and John Tryon his brother; (B) Chancery Decree, 19 November 1623, awarding the abovementioned manor etc to the Tryons for non-repayment of the £1123/6/8; (C) Assignment of the residue of the lease of 200 years of property in the possession of Edward Bunting of Overend, Ashover, by Samuel Tryon to George Fowler of Clay Lane, par. North Wingfield yeoman; (D) Lease for 2000 year, 26 April 1619, of manor etc by Thomas Reresby to trustees to pay Reresby's debts and raise portions for his daughters Mary and Bridgett; (E) Assignment of Lease for 2000 years, 9 August 1630, property as "(C)", by Robert Steward of the Isle of Ely and his wife Mary, and by Isaac Stott of Deanby, Yorkshire and his wife Bridgett (both wives daughters of Thomas Reresby) to George Fowler, giving him their 2000 year reversion to run after Samuel Tryon's 200 years by Chancery Decree. 22 May 1630; (F) Assignment of Lease for 200 years, property as "(C)" by George Fowler to James Webster the elder; (G) Assignment of Lease for 200 years, property as "(C)" by George Fowler to Ralph Clarke; (H) Assignment of Lease for 2200 years, 14 April 1651 of certain closes including Newclose, Croft Dole, Land Dole, Thorne Dale, Birkindole, Magholes (wood ground) par. Ashover, then in possession of James Webster the elder or his assigns, by James Webster the Elder, James Webster the younger, and Ralph Clarke to Philip Waterhouse, consideration £75. 13 Apr. - 1655
2 - Assignment of Lease for 2200 years, 23 July 1659, of Birkindole Close, Ashover, by William Botham to Matthew Haslam of Alton, par. Ashover, miller, for £24. Recites "(A)" - "(F)" of "T1". - 1659
3 - Assignment of Leases for 2200 years of Birkin Dole by Elizabeth Prestwidge of Overend, par. Ashover, widow of Anthony Prestwidge to Charles Alsoppe of Overend, yeoman, for £26. The property about 2½ acres, was lately held by Godfrey Bafford. Recites "T2" and deeds recited therein, also Will of Anthony Prestwidge 12 July 1677 leaving Elizabeth Prestwidge Thorne Dole, Lime Dole and Birkin Dole, 31 Oct. - 1679
4 - Mortgage of Little Chappell Close, Ashover for £30 at 5% by Richard Dakeyne of Chesterfield shoemaker, to Francis Morse of Chesterfield Major (mayor) endorsed with a receipt for the principal and interest by James Whildon, 29 May 1723. 23 Mar. - 1692

7 - Probate copy of will of Charles Warton made, 2 October 1773 leaving house and lands in Ashover Upper End except the parlour and stable to his wife Mary, for life and then to their son William and his heirs - after the death of his wife £20 to son James; one guinea each to his sons Charles and John and daughter Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Rose - the parlour and stable to daughter Hellin for life, remainder to William - if William dies without heirs his share of the property to go to James and his heirs, 21 Apr. - 1774

13 - Assignment of mortgage by demise for 1000 years by Nathaniel Bower of Ashover and his wife Sarah of cottage and close in Over End to Mary Bower spinster for £60 (30 June 1792) by John Bower of Chesterfield founder or moulder of metal and Mary his wife (late Mary Bower, spinster) to John Bower of Chesterfield, gent., with an additional £5 on the principal. 22 Nov. - 1794
14 - Copy will of Nathaniel Bower of Over End, yeoman, leaving his house and lands at Over End and his moveable property to his wife Sarah Bower for life with remainder to his sons and daughters John, George, Joseph, Thomas, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Anne as tenants-in-common. Codicil charges estate with £5 to apprentice John, son of Nathaniel's daughter Hannah when he reaches the age of 14. 25 Nov. - 1797
