17 - Whittington deed Feoffment by George Dande of Derby, and Richard Greaves of Brampton, yeoman to Martin Stone of Whittington, cutler, of Toftstead, croft and orchard, bounds recited - 1640
18-22 - Whittington deeds Bower properties including messuage and lands sold by John Renshaw of Whittington, roper, to John Allwood of Chesterfield 1641, and by John Alwood of Chesterfield, tanner, to John Bower of Whittington 1677; and Bull Close leased to John Bower for 21 years by Roger Newham of Staveley with consent of freeholders of manor of Whittington 1773; with copy will of Samuel Bower of Whittington 1848, and valuation of tenant right in lands owned by Duke of Devonshire 1859 - 1641-1859
