History | After serving in the Royal Artillery in the Great War, he studied at Oriel College, Oxford and obtained a first in Animal Physiology. He was Fellow and Tutor at Oriel College, 1924-1947. He moved to the Nuffield Institute for Medical Research as Assistant Director. He went to Bart's Hospital as Professor of Physiology 1947. He retired in 1958. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. |
