Administrative History
The original proposal for Albany House was made in 1968 was accommodation for 12 working boys and in the home opened in June 1970 for approval for 12 working boys and residential staff. It continued to be known as a Working Boys Hostel until at least 1984, but by March 1997 was known as Albany House Family Centre when it accommodated 6 individuals on long-term placements. It was renamed Evergreen House in April 2013 and as of July 2016 continues to accommodate up to 6 placements for young people aged 11-17.
