Description	Pages 1-14 (Jan 1973-Mar 1975) Contain a rather basic list of work undertaken, giving the date, brief description of the item, date completed and a brief summary of the work, including materials used (pages 5-6 are blank). From May 1973, the number of sheets repaired is also given and for some items a reference also. Prior to Feb 1974 it is likely that many (though not all) of the items without references were records not permanently in the custody of the record office at the time. From Feb 1974 a separate register appears to have been kept to record details of work undertaken on behalf of owners (see DCC/CL/2/1/6/2). However, some entries after Feb 1974, until at least Dec 1982 also appear to relate to documents in private, or non-record office custody. Pages 17-123 (Sep 1976-Mar 1979) The new Repairer alters the format of the register, with one page per item/project. Each page gives the date received, owner or reference number, description, format, procedure including materials used, date finished. A number of entries also include a note regarding the time taken to complete the work and the approximate cost [of materials] Pages 125-348 (Apr 1979-Mar 1983) Format altered to include more detail about the work undertaken, including the use of fungicide, insecticide, cleaning materials, de-acidification process, adhesives and chemicals, as well as space to record the size and pH if taken From the back of the book, pages 351-349 record details of the purchase of conservation materials, Jun 1977-Mar 1979, including a description and cost. The last page of the book (p. 354) contains calculations for labour costs, Nov 1980 and Jun 1985
