Administrative History
Beeley Church of England School was opened in 1857 to accommodate sixty boys, girls and infants. Boys after the age of eight went to Edensor Church of England School. In 1953 the school may have closed for a while but it was certainly operating in 1954. The school finally closed in 1969 and the pupils transferred to Pilsley Church of England School which was enlarged.
