Description | This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A map of the wast grounds and commons within the towne of Bradwall as they were surveyed and taken by me according to my best skill on Oath and since laid out and divided by the Commissioners directions into two Equall p[ar]ts quantity and quality considered. The Red Lines circumscribing the parts laid out for the King and marked with the letter R containeing in Statute Measure 673 a[cres] 1 r[ood] 26 p[erches]. The Yellow Lines circumscribing the parts laid out for the Freeholders and Tenants marked with the letter T containeing in Statute Measure 678 a[cres] 1 r[ood] 21 p[erches] April the 6th 1688 By me Peter Barker.
