| Description | The Local Authority Social Services Act 1970 put into effect many of the recommendations of the Seebohm committee. The new committee combined all the existing functions of the Children's and Welfare committees, with the social services function of the Health committee (for minutes, see 1/50/1-11. 1/52/1-11 and 1/47/1-8). |
