| Administrative History | This committee dealt with payments to reformatories and industrial schools (all outside the county) for Derbyshire people in their custody. In March 1910, under sect 74(2) of the 1908 Children Act, responsibility for Industrial schools was transferred to the Education committee (see 1/17/7). In December 1922, because of the small amount of work to be transacted, the Committee recommended transference to the Finance committee (see 1/2/5). |
