Date11 Dec 1828

Notes interest shown in observations of the effect of Aurora on compass needle. Gives opinion about a museum visit. Will give Hausman a letter of introduction to Richardson. Declined an offer of a special seat at the Institute: too prominent for a nervous man. Invited to dinner and offered assistance by the Duke of Orleans.
