DescriptionIndenture of bargain and sale between (1) William Porden of Berners Street, Middlesex, architect, (2) Eleanor Ann [sic] Porden, daughter of William Porden, and (3) Francis Bedford of Southampton Row, Bloomsbury, Middlesex, architect, and John Linnell Bond of Newman Street, Middlesex, architect; William Porden grants a house and land in Castle Street, and a house and land in Berners Street, both in the parish of St Marylebone, Middlesex, to Messrs Bedford and Bond in trust to the use of Wiiliam Porden, his wife Mary and his daughter Eleanor Ann for the terms of the remainder of their natural lives; reciting lease of 10 Apr 1765 and assignment of 8 Oct 1804 (for Castle Street), and lease of 21 May 1760 and assignment of 23 Jan 1809 (for Berners Street).
On reverse of seventh sheet is an indenture of assignment made between (1) Eleanor Anne Porden, (2) John Franklin, esquire, Captain in the Royal Navy, (3) Francis Bedford and John Linnell Bond, (4) Henry Sellwood of Horncastle, Lincolnshire, esquire, and (5) Joseph Kay of Gower Street, Middlesex, esquire, appointing Sellwood and Kay as replacements for Bond and Bedford as trustees, reciting deaths of William and Mary Porden and marriage due to be solemnized between John Franklin and Eleanor Anne Porden, 12 Aug 1823
