This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

Lombs Cupola with its appurtences.1761.Surveyor: J.Southern. Scale: of chains [1:800]. Size: 37 x 31 cm. Materials: sepia ink on paper, some colour, conserved on thin card. Centred on: SK315605 Notes:north at top. Shows brook with building alongside on top half of page: bottom half of page describes the property, offices, 2 cupolas smithy and land. Dated bottom right-hand side. Dec.17th 1761 J. Southern: endorsed 'Mrs Norman. Location: DRO, D858P/1
