TitleBook of Alan Turner's cuttings and photographs
Date1936-1946
DescriptionIn this volume, performances are generally credited to the Alan Turner Opera Company rather than Operatic Society. As with the first volume in the series, there are numerous adverstisements, photographs, cuttings and programmes, relating to performances at the Rudolf Steiner Hall and other venues. From around 1944, more of the references are to productions taking place in Derby than London - for instance, there is a programme for a performance of Johann Strauss's 1001 Nights with libretto and lyrics by Alan Turner, performed by the Alan Turner Opera Company at the Grand Theatre, Derby, in aid of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, dated Mar [1946].

The volume also includes:
Cuttings from the Derby Advertiser, Derby Evening Telegraph, Yorkshire Post and Nottingham Evening News from 1944, referring to the story of six female factory workers from Derby who were taught to dance by Alan Turner and went to perform in a cabaret at a dinner of Ernest Turner Ltd at the Waldorf Hotel in London.
Cuttings on the subject of religious interest, including one from the Universe, 3 Apr 1936, about a new presbytery at Princes Risborough, built with funds raised by the Alan Turner Opera Company.
