Administrative History | Belper Local Exchange Trading Scheme (LETS) was founded in 1994, following on from an earlier organisation which folded in 1993. The principle of the organisation was that members could trade services, skills and labour as well as moveable goods, using a "currency" called the Chevin. Members were given 20 Chevins to start with, and paid £5 per year for membership. The organisation closed in 2015 and its funds were passed to Belper Transition. |
