Description
The first item in this file is a copy letter from Jay Pollitt, Diversify and Community Cohesion Co-ordinator, to Siobhan Spencer of Derbyshire Gypsy Liaison Group about the possibility of a flamenco dance performance taking place at the Bolsover Children's Festival, 30 Mar 2004. Other contents include:
"All Faces All Races" resource pack printed by Voluntary Action Bolsover in 2004, providing basic information on 11 different religious and ethnic communities, with templates for producing Rangoli artwork and a Chinese gift wallet. 33 pages.
Photocopy application form to Local Network Fund, letter confirming success, end of grant report, all dated 2003. The funding was for an initiative with the working title "Time For Culture", designed to build on the success of the Bolsover Children's Festival, to develop young people's skills with "issue-based arts activity" and to explore "issues of race, identity, heritage and sense of place".
