DescriptionThis project was intended to acknowledge the role played by women in children's lives and the lack of positive visual images of women. The result was a large temporary installation of three photographic portraits of older women from South Normanton and Pinxton onto the side of Frederick Gent School, South Normanton. The artist was Mat Hand, and the project was funded by Arts Council England, Bolsover District Council and Derbyshire County Council.
