Description
This was a two-part photography and digital arts project, aiming to work in a community setting in a way that celebrated local heritage, culminating in the production of a website, giving a "young people's guide to South Normanton", past and present. The participating schools were Brigg Infant School, Frederick Gent School, Glebe Junior School and The Green Infant School. Other partner organisations were the South Normanton Local History Group, South Normanton Cyber Cafe, South Normanton and Pinxton Parish Council, English Heritage and East Midlands Arts. The artists were Val Carman and Paula Moss. The file contains correspondence, project notes, project profile giving an overview of Streets Ahead, publicity material, an evaluation report, budgeting and financial information, brief for creation of website, photography records sheets showing which participants had taken which shots and why.
