Title
Junction Arts creative education file: Fun In The Woods
Date
2006-2008
Description
Junction Arts' Family Learning Programme was intended as a "targeted intervention" to allow parents and children the chance to learn in an outdoor environment. It grew out of a funding proposal from the North East Derbyshire Community Economic Development Team, commissioned by Bolsover Local Strategic Partnership Education and Training Action Group in 2006. The pilot programme involved Brookfield Primary School, and Sure Start children's centres in Shirebrook, Whaley Thorns and Creswell.
Papers include: Printed booklet for Pilot Programme phase one evaluation 2006-2007 - Forest School, at Willow Tree Family Farm in Shirebrook; shorter report by Junction Arts; notes from Family Learning Programme Steering Group meeting on 11 Jan 2008.
Also the following, separately packaged items:
Two books, each entitled "Welcome to Willow Tree Farm Forest Fun". The first is a hand-made paper book with outer binding made of leaves, dated Sep 2006. The second is dated Mar 2007 and is made with commercially-available coloured paper bound in a single piece of leather. Both books are filled with captioned photographs of families involved in outdoor creative activities.
A third book, entitled "Fun in the Woods Morning group" dated Sep 2007, also containing captioned photographs of families involved in outdoor creative activities
