Administrative History
The school building was erected in 1875, when it opened as a Church of England School. It was later taken over as a County Primary School, when it came under the control of Derbyshire County Council as the Local Education Authority. The school closed on 27 July 1958.
Custodial History
The records were held by Derbyshire County Council after the school's closure, and formally accessioned by Derbyshire Record Office in 1962.
