Administrative History
Barrow Hill Primary School opened in 1949 following the amalgamation of the Barrow Hill Infants and Juniors departments, which originally opened as Staveley Works schools in 1857.
Barrow Hill Council Infants School amalgamated with the Juniors department in 1949 to form Barrow Hill Primary School. Formerly known as Staveley Works Infants School, which opened in 1857. A new infants school was built in 1898, and the old school building became part of the girls school.
Custodial History
These records were transferred from Barrow Hill Primary School in July 2015 and March 2017.
