This copy is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
[Wastes, north of Hayfield n.d. 17c]. Scale: no scale [1:10500]. Size: 55 x 39 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK054894 Notes: cardinal points at edges. Shows two areas of wastes 'Heafield More' [Middle Moor, Leygatehead Moor] and Cliff Bank to Matley Moor with Abbotts Chair between: 1456 acres graded best, middle and worst sorts of land: parcels to west are described but partially illegible, e.g. '... the bank moor edge': boundary marks, cloughs, 'yatt' (gate), stones, R. Kinder: houses in crudely drawn elevation with owners: 'Heafielde towne' noted by 1 house: boundaries drawn freely with wide bands of colour in a personal style.
