This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

[Plan of Brightside Mine and also the White Coe Mine 17--]. Scale: 15 half yards in one inch [1:270]. Size: 45 x 57 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK225723 Notes: compass indicator, top of sheet NNE. Mining plan showing veins and headings, coloured, lettered and numbered position with boundary of Ashford and Calver Liberties: explanation identifies veins and headings: ruled borders at top and bottom of sheet each marked off in 5 divisions representing 'meres' named Lord's Mere etc.: in Calver 27 yards long, in Ashford 29 yards: accompanied by surveyor's report.
