Administrative HistoryBaileys Printers was established in 1881 by William Bailey at his house in Swanwick. By 1930, the business had expanded and moved to Somercotes. In 1954, it became a Limited Company. Much of the firm's custom came from the production of posters for cinemas, theatres, railways, boxing and wrestling shows.

The Somercotes and Riddings Advertiser was published monthly from January 1890. Between August 1890 and at least December 1891, the publication was known as Somercotes, Riddings & District Gospel Temperance Advocate.
