Administrative History	The Derbyshire Dales Committee for The Children's Society was originally founded in February 1961 as the Friends of the Ernest Bailey Nursery, formally changing its name in 1989. The group was established to support the Ernest Bailey Home Committee, primarily acting as a fund raising committee for the Nursery in Matlock. From its foundation until the mid 1980s, Her Grace the Duchess of Devonshire was President of the Committee. In 2009, the Committee adopted a less formal role becoming The Children's Society Dales Support Group.
