Information supplied by the Peak District Mines Historical Society suggests that there are at least two other contemporary copies in private hands, plus a photographic copy of one of the plans in the Barmaster's collection at Chatsworth Archives. It is likely that each copy may be slightly different, but a more detailed comparison of the various items would be required to confirm this. Furthermore, the dates of the various copies are inconsistent, with some dated 1768 and others 1769. It is possible that this item and the photographic reproduction at Chatsworth Archives may be of the same original plan.
