Archive Creator	Newbold and Dunston School Board
Administrative History	Board schools were established after the Education Act of 1870. Boards were empowered to build new schools in areas of poor educational provision or else to absorb existing schools. In 1902, Board Schools became Council Schools.
Custodial History	These records of Newbold and Dunston School Board were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in October 1969. A further deposit was received in April 2016.
