St Elphin's School, Darley Dale
Administrative History
St Elphin's was founded in Warrington in 1844 as a school for the daughters of the clergy. It moved to Darley Dale near Matlock in 1904, where it continued to function with the support of the Church of England as a private school for both day-pupils and boarders. The school was purchased by a consortium in 2004. It closed in March 2005.
Custodial History
These items were donated to the Record Office by a private individual in March 2007.
