| Administrative History | Starkholmes CE School was erected in 1878 but records only survive from the 1940s. The school provided education to mixed infants and juniors. It closed in 1991, and was amalgamated with Matlock Town CE Primary to form Matlock St. Giles School in July 1994.
The depositor of these items also had custody of the records which now make up collection D3516 after the school was amalgamated. It is thought that the photograph was originally amongst the other records of the school. |
