Administrative History	In 1941 the National Fire Service took over responsibility from borough and district councils. County councils and county boroughs became responsible for the fire service in 1947. Under subsequent legislation the Fire Service's remit was broadened to include fire prevention and inspection of premises.
Custodial History	These items were donated to the Record Office anonymously in February 2007.
