Description
Labelled "Frank Byard, Leading Stoker, Royal Navy, World War II (Book 1)". This is a modern scrap book that seems to have been put together after Frank Byard's death, possibly by his daughter. It contains some family photographs and pictures taken or purchased by Frank Byard while he was a sailor aboard HMS Birmingham. Of particular interest are the pictures of the ceremony for crossing the equator, torpedo damage to HMS Birmingham (1943) and sailors picking up survivors from another ship.
