Administrative History
A new Board School for both boys and girls was opened in Shirebrook in 1896. In 1902 the school was reorganised into separate Boys and Girls Departments. The Girls School became a Junior Girls School in 1930, but in 1953 was re-organised again to become a Junior Mixed School. The school also known as Carter Lane School, closed in 1984.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in June 2006.
