| Administrative History | Shardlow Poor Law Union served forty-seven parishes in South-East Derbyshire and adjacent areas in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. The workhouse had a maximum capacity of 148 and by the late nineteenth century there were 137 inmates. |
