Administrative HistorySir John Port's Charity was established by the will of Sir John in 1556. Lands in Etwall, Willington, Repton, Egginton, Normanton and elsewhere were left to fund a hospital, or almshouses, at Etwall and a grammar school at Repton or Etwall.
